The File Button

Loading and saving your catalog data to disk is a very easy process with Gamma GenCat. When you press the File button on the Menu panel, the file menu to the left will pop up.

New - Start a new catalog

Open - Load an existing catalog

Close - Close the catalog that is currently open

Save - Save the catalog that is currently open. GenCat will not automatically save your work for you

Save As... - Save the current catalog under a new name

Create an Account - If you are online, go to the Gamma Burst account sign up page

Go to Admin Pages - If you are online, go to the Gamma Burst account administration area

Exit - Close the current catalog and exit Gamma GenCat

Gamma GenCat catalogs are stored in Directories. When loading your work, a dialog box will appear allowing you to select the directory of your catalog. To select your catalog, simply double-click on its directory name. When saving your work, a similar dialog box will appear. The difference here is that there is a button that allows you to create a new directory. Make sure you place the directory where you want it and not under another catalog!
